🍒 Cherry Studio Integration Guide

Cherry Studio is a geek‑style desktop client that supports multi‑model side‑by‑side chats, perfect for comparing model outputs. With a simple setup, you can integrate Old Dog AI seamlessly.

📥 Step 1: Download & install

If you haven’t installed it yet, download the latest version from official sources:

⚙️ Step 2: Add Old Dog AI as a provider

1. Open Cherry Studio.
2. Click Settings (gear icon) in the bottom-left.
3. In the left menu, select Providers.
4. Click + Add (at the bottom of the list or top-right).
5. Fill in the basic information:
   • Provider name: Old Dog AI (or any name you like).
   • Provider type: select OpenAI (⚠️ important, because we are OpenAI‑compatible).
6. Click OK.

🔑 Step 3: Configure the key parameters

On the newly created Old Dog AI provider page, fill in:

1. API Key: your token generated in the Old Dog AI Console (starts with sk-).

2. API URL: our Base URL:

   https://api.olddog.shop/v1

   (Note: Cherry Studio strictly requires the /v1 suffix.)

🔄 Step 4: Fetch available models (recommended)

Thanks to standard compatibility, you don’t need to enter model names manually:

1. After entering the key and URL, click Manage.
2. Click the Refresh icon next to the model search box.
3. Wait briefly; the client will pull the latest model list from our server.
4. Make sure the green toggle on the right is enabled.

💬 Step 5: Start chatting

1. Go back to the main Chat view.
2. In the model dropdown at the top, select the Old Dog AI provider.
3. Pick a model (for example, claude-sonnet-4-6 or gpt-5.2) and enjoy.
